Our Purpose

The purpose of our church is to fulfill the instructions Jesus Christ left for us.  After His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus appeared here on earth, witnessed by many people, to give us these words as recorded in Matthew 28:18-20. This is commonly known as "The Great Commission":

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (NKJV)

We believe our purpose is to:

  • Worship Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
  • Go out into the world to make disciples, or followers, of Jesus Christ.
  • Baptize, or acknowledging through obedience (including baptism) the authority and work of the Trinity.
  • Teach the recorded Word of God, the Bible.
  • Assure others that Jesus Christ lives, that He brings His followers into eternal life in heaven, and executes justice on the rest.
