Children's Ministries

Children are a large part of our ministry here at Timber Ridge Baptist Church.

Children’s Sunday School classes are held Sunday mornings from 10 AM until 10:45 AM.  Children are separated into small age groups, and interact in Bible study lessons that apply to their age.

Children’s Church groups are held during our morning worship service at 11 AM.  Children meet in our large sanctuary with their parents, and are then called forward to the front of the room for a special children’s lesson, interacting with the whole church as a part of worship.  After the children’s lesson, the children are dismissed into two classes.  A younger class of children aged three years to first grade meets in the new upstairs classroom at the front of the church, above the nursery.  An older class of children from second grade to fifth grade meets in the large upstairs class at the rear of the church.

September through May, Timber Ridge holds AWANA club meetings for children preschool to sixth grade.  Clubs meet on Sunday night from 5:44 PM to 7:16 PM.  (Yes, these times have significant Bible verse references.)  Children participate in group worship, prayer, group Bible study, Scripture memorization, game time, and of course snack time!  Please see more abou the AWANA club program at:

Wednesday nights during adult Bible study and prayer service, children in first through sixth grades participate in CIA – Children in Action.  CIA is a mission discipleship program organized through the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) to learn about and pray for Christian missionary work.  CIA meets at 7PM in the downstairs fellowship hall.
